Flickriver: Most interesting photos from Ultralight bicycle touring (and bikepacking!) pool

So I’m laying here nursing a dislocated knee and surfing the web.  Here’s a link to some very nice lightly loaded touring bikes.  You’ll find me in there somewhere. Enjoy.

You kind of slipped that dislocated knee bit in there!!! Sorry to hear about that and I hope you have a fast recovery.

Thanks, I’m hobbling around a bit…it’s just as well, 6 to 8 inches of white fluffy snow and still coming down…Merry & happy holidays to all.

    Hi,

We’re at 4″+ and counting now. Guess you’re getting it a little heavier to our west or you got an earlier start!

    What happened to the knee?

Merry Christmas and best wishes for a speedy recovery!

A slip and a fall on Tuesday. Swelled up like a grapfruit. I dislocated it a few years ago skiing, and from time to time I reinjure it.

We are still getting a heavy downpour of the stuff. There is a jeweler in Asheville who was betting it would not snow, he may have to give over 250,000 dollars in refunds. I wish I had bought a watch or something.

    Merry Christmas, Jack

I hope you are feeling better. Are you doing the heat/ice 20 mins on – 20 mins off cycle to get the swelling down?

We still have light flurries just past noon on the 26th. So far, we’re up to 8″. It was snowing hard this morning when I got up at 7:00 a.m.

I may have to break down and put the bike on the trainer… Then again, I may get enough exercise for the day when I go to try to get off the mountain and have to shovel our way out as usual… We would just stay home another day but we have to check on Kathy’s father.

    Stay warm!

    Zeke
