Another Bike of Interest: The Marin Four Corners

Another bike we are looking at is the Marin Four Corners.  This bike is new to the Marin lineup and has more traditional geometry than the Sutra.  Again this is an all steel bike with all the right braze-ons for touring.  With a bit more basic braking technology (cantilevers) and plenty of fork space for 32c tires and fenders, this appears to be a no nonsense traditional tourer.  The weight is unpublished, but I doubt it tops the Sutra’s 33 pounds.  Priced at around a thousand dollars, it comes in under the Sutra (due in part, I’m sure, to the less expensive braking system).  It’s promising to see Marin entering the touring market, hopefully others will follow.  Fortunately Bryson City Bicycles carries both brands, so we are sure to get good service and a reasonable price (it’s never too early to start with the adulations before buying an expensive bike).
